Try these Simple exercises to get started: Big Mouth: When you yawn, your mouth opens as wide as it can, stretching the muscles and tissues around your jaw.
The Big Mouth exercise mimics the stretching of yawns. Stand or sit straight upright and slowly open your mouth as wide as you can until you can feel the joint and muscles stretching. (Don’t be surprised if this simple act causes you to actually yawn!) Once your mouth is fully open, hold it there and take a deep breath before slowly closing your mouth again. Chin Downs: Chin downs help stretch out the muscles of the neck. While breathing out slowly lower your chin until it touches your chest (or as close as you can get it) you should feel the muscles along the back of your neck. Hold your position and take in a deep breath to really stretch out the muscles then raise your chin all the way up until you are looking at the ceiling.
Keep your mouth closed throughout the exercise and really feel the neck muscles stretching. Return to your normal head level position for a few moments, and then repeat the exercise as needed. Roller Shoulders: Roller Shoulders will help stretch out the muscles of the shoulders. Start facing straight ahead. Slowly push your shoulders forward until you feel the muscles stretch, and then raise them up as high as you can. TMJ Symptom
