TMJ disorders cause tenderness and pain in the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) — the joint on each side of your head in front of your ears, where your lower jawbone meets your skull. This joint allows you to talk, chew and yawn.
The Website below (mayo clinic) has recomendations for home treatment and also a list of meds that could help.
The only thing that helped me was having my jaws wired shut. They actually wired my upper and lower teeth together for several weeks to let the jaws rest and heal. I lived on thin cream of wheat and milk shakes, it wasn’t a lot of fun!
Other than that the only treatment I know of is to have the jaw joint replaced.
Thry commonly call this TMJS.
no such disorder unless you’ve broken your jaw . you probably clench your teeth at night or grind your teeth and feel the soreness/tenderness the next day. consider a bite block.
